RoboTire aimed to revolutionize vehicle maintenance in a world increasingly reliant on efficient fleet operations. With the rise of doorstep delivery services, cost-per-mile and vehicle uptime have become paramount. The increasing mileage driven by vehicles, coupled with the simplified mechanics of electric motors, is poised to transform the automotive service sector. RoboTire sought to introduce manufacturing-level automation to this industry.

Tires were identified as an ideal initial target, given their enduring relevance across various vehicle types, from personal luxury cars to heavy-duty freight trucks. The existing tire changing industry, characterized by an aging workforce but healthy profit margins, presented an opportunity for disruption. RoboTire planned to develop and deploy robotic tire changing containers capable of completing tire changes in just 10 minutes.

These self-contained RoboTire units were designed for flexible deployment, whether within existing repair shops, retail parking lots, or remote fleet service areas. The company's long-term vision included expanding its services to encompass brakes, oil changes, battery replacements, and other maintenance tasks, creating a comprehensive uptime assembly line to keep fleets operational around the clock while significantly reducing maintenance costs per mile.
