DraftAid is pioneering the use of generative AI in the creation of CAD manufacturing drawings, offering a solution comparable to GitHub Copilot but specifically tailored for CAD applications. This innovative technology dramatically accelerates the drawing creation process, reducing the time required from hours to mere seconds. Drawings are fundamental to the manufacturing of virtually every product across diverse industries, including construction, aerospace, automotive, durable goods, and electronics. Traditionally, engineers and designers have painstakingly produced these essential drawings manually. DraftAid streamlines this process, offering significant time and cost savings for engineering teams, potentially saving millions through increased efficiency and improved quality.

The concept for DraftAid originated from Abdullah's personal experience as a mechanical design team member, where he spent countless hours creating drawings and recognized the need for a more efficient workflow. He partnered with Tahsin, a neighbor holding a PhD in AI, and Mohammed, an experienced engineering VP with a background in construction software, to transform this vision into a tangible product.

Since launching in August, DraftAid has successfully engaged customers through strategic outreach and organic word-of-mouth marketing. This has led to the establishment of paid pilot programs and subsequent contracts valued at $150,000, demonstrating the strong market demand for their solution.
