BBy has developed an innovative condensing device that transforms breast milk into a biologically and immunologically active fine powder. This process preserves the milk's beneficial properties, offering a significant advantage to hospitals by eliminating the time-consuming and wasteful practice of defrosting frozen milk. With BBy's solution, healthcare providers can simply weigh the powder, add water, shake, and serve, streamlining the feeding process and optimizing patient care. This is particularly crucial in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs), where time is of the essence. Currently, nurses dedicate considerable time to defrosting milk for subsequent shifts, a process BBy eliminates. BBy's technology has undergone rigorous peer review and has been published, demonstrating safe and reliable results across more than 20 hospitals in the New York Tri-State area. The company is led by Vansh Langer MD, a physician, and Blanca Aguilar Uscanga PhD, a Bioengineering/Food Science expert. Together, they bring extensive expertise in infant nutrition, with over 50 published works in the field. Dr. Langer recognized the critical need for a time-saving solution in the NICU, collaborating with Dr. Aguilar and her team to develop BBy and improve infant care.
